I've noticed that a common feature of all the lasers and flashlights I have lying around my house is their utilization of 18650 batteries for power. Together with this charger, I ordered a ten-pack of batteries. A few days ago, I recharged a green laser pointer that I had worn down the battery on. Nothing is broken. To let me know that it's functioning, a tiny light turns on. There's not much to it other than that. Because the charger is so tiny and light, I advise using caution when handling it and keeping it out of the way of moving vehicles. There are no problems other than that. It costs only $6.99, if I were to purchase it. Using an 18650 battery I had from a previous flashlight, I conducted a test. I would want to have extra batteries so I could replace the ones that run out while waiting for the flashlight to charge the battery, even if the flash light does charge the battery while it is mounted. After placing the battery into this charger, which had a half-charge remaining, it showed a full charge after roughly three hours. The indication light was green when I plugged it into my computer using a USB cord. When I inserted the battery, it flashed red to indicate charging before turning back to green to indicate charged. Try inserting the battery backwards and turning off the light to test reversed battery protection. When the battery was removed, the light was off. After inserting the battery correctly, the LED turned green. When the flashlight's battery was inserted, its brilliance was equal to that of a fully charged one. Now that I've ordered four extra batteries, I plan to use this charger to keep my flashlight's backup batteries completely charged. It's a very simple charger that lacks current/VO and displays.

This was done to supply a motion sensor to an ESP32 board, enabling it to operate on battery power in the event of an interruption or power outage. No problems with the soldered 5 volt in, battery, and power out cables. The initial battery output leads were measured at about 4 volts; they subsequently went to 4.1, 4.5, and 4.2 volts, with checks every half hour or so, until stabilizing at 4.2 volts.
